Question What tire pressure...

do you use on your A6 2.7t?
I am talking non-snow tires since I am in SOCAL.
Thx!

It...should definitely say the proper rating on the side of your tire wall. Around 35-40psi I think. Just look.

Recommended tire pressure as a function of passenger load may be listed on the door to the gas cap.

Ditto what AUF said. I usually run 35-36 psi regardless of tire because I do almost exclusively highway driving, and they say add 2 psi over normal to reduce flex and heat build up.

I try to stay at 38. But, if I'm going on a "drive" in the mountains, I'll pump em up to 40.

I roll 40/40 in my 225/40/18 Pirelli summer tires... all year.

Thumbs up

That is great feedback, than you all!
I was using 38 as a baseline and it seems it was about right.

These guys must not drive in Michigan. 38 psi would rattle their teeth out! If only we had the same quality roads as california.....

Bob, Yes roads here in Socal are better than a lot of other places. Add in sway bars, coilovers and low profile tires....my teeth rattle a bit everyday even here.
