But I just got back from work in Florida and found that when i got home my car was out of oil. i went to the store bought some new oil put it in let it run the system and got under it and found two small cracks in the pan. I tried to do a search on it but nothing came up.... Not sure if anyone has a tip or a trick....or knows of a good site to get the bottom side of the pan...Anyone repalce on of these and have a idea on the cost of doing...it im not paying labor cause i have a guy that will do my labor for me i just buy the beer. thanks for the leads guys!

Damn, I just saw the other day an used oil pan on EBay.
I suggest you do a search for your year model.

If not, try the good folks at force5suto.com or shokan.com.

I don't know what year and model you have, but this is what I came across on Ebay that I mentioned previously:

Upper half

Its lower half (that you need).
You'll have to buy a gasket, anyway and either way.

Good luck with your parts search.

Yeah I guess that would have helped!! Its A 1998 A6 Quattro. Its not not a big crack at all, I was wondering if I could just rig it with something like JB weld or something like that... it doesnt seem to be a hard fix its just finding the part that seems to be the challenge for me right now. thanks for looking those up for me.

the lower part is available on almost any audi parts vendor.. should be about $100 for an oem one, or $60 for a copy.

I cracked/punctured 2 lower oil pans, I'm on my third. JB weld might help if you remove the pan and clean it thoroughly, but its better/faster/easier to just replace imo
