Default Wheel size question

Would an 18" wheel with 245/45/18 winter tires cause any kind of rubbing or bottoming out on a 2000 A6 Avant; and would I have to get the car recalibrated (now running the stock wine glass 16") or do the A6's have an automatic adjust feature? Thanks so much!

Guess that is a stupid question, I know people put 19s on their A6, but this perticular set I am looking at has winter treads that look to be not very low profile.

Ok so I just got the wheel yesterday and test fit one and the top inside of the tire slightly rubs a metal piece of the suspension, it's so slight I was actually able to put on the wheel and lower the car down. So my question is do you guys think a half inch spacer will be sufficient? Again the tire is a 245/45/18.

I use a 235/40/r18 on a 18X8.5 rim and I don't have any problems. The diameter of the 18 inch wheel and tire is pretty close to thediameter of the stock 16's so the speedometer is the same. It doesn't have to be adjusted. Good luck.
