Default wheel tires and other mods.

so i got my '99 A6 quattro about a month ago. i love it so far. I already did 35% tint all around and this weekend i am hoping to do some painting on the headlights and clean off some chrome. Main part of this is i was wondering if anyone has ever seen any black audis with bronze wheels? i am planning on 18" wheels (not chrome hate chrome) with some 235/40R18 falken tires. Any suggestions to which wheels you guys like? any other cheap little mods that are fun to do and make the car look good?

hmwatkins,

The tint looks great! In North Carolina the regulations are limited to 35% tint. I have been unsure how dark I want to go with my car, but now that I see what the black tint looks like on a black car Iwill have to do that once I get home.

The beauty of Audi is that they are classy and luxurious, yet subtle and refined. Personally, and I may be speaking for quite a few other AudiForums enthusiasts, I would never buy super chromes or gold rims for any of the sedans/avants. Maybe gold racing wheels on the TT, but even that has to have the right setup/look going for it. Ultimately this choice is up to you.

Keep us posted!

I Would stick to clean simple wheels that complement the intended look of the cra. Also depends on your budget...

Cheap(er) side: RS4 DTM, RS6 replicas, AT Italia Nido, BBS CH, Oettinger RE, RH vezuv
More $: BBS RGR, RSGT LM, Oettinger RZ, Radenergy, HRE's...

PA is NOT tint-friendly. Legal limit is 70%, which means that the net tint must allow 70% of light to pass through. The OEM glass has 90% tint already on it (90% of light passes through).

here in iowa it is illegal to have tint in the front windows but everything else is fine. also mirror tint is illegal.
Khardysius i am glad you like the tint i am throughly enjoying it. I am looking mostly at the dark silver/titanium wheels. something like these.

Formulagigi i have a very small budget. i spend most my pay check driving to school then work then home. but i also work another job from home and hopefully i will get a large hunk of money from taxes. but ya i am considering wrapping the wheels in the falken FK-452.I really like those BBS CH. I am also considering a set that has a deep dish style so the spokes are set far back in the wheel.

I really like the BBS CH.Those are the wheels I am prolly going to end up with.

If we can get the GB together for those DTM RS4 wheels, that would make things a lot easier to decide
