First few mods..NEED Wheel adivce!!
Hey Guys
Thanks to all of your help on the forums my A4 is finally fun to drive!
I was on vacation last week so dropped off the car at an AWE-tunning shop and got the following done:
1. GIAC ECU Chip
2. GIAC Auto Trans Chip
3. 710N Diverter Valve
4. K&N Air Filter
Now I really want to get some 18s and then maybe in a few months an exhuast.
I am WORRIED that if I get 18s I will be pissed again that the car is slowed down...etc...
I am aware 18s will be heavier then my current 15s but I want some advice. How much do RS4 18s weigh?
Basically I found this set of rims by AZA (staggered) which I really like but cannot find any info on the weight. Was going to call them tomorrow but wanted some basline to compare it to.
Here is the rim I like, give me some honest opinions or if someone is a photoshop pro and bored a snapshot on my ride would be greaty appreciated.
RIM in 18X8.5
Also I know a little about tires but not a whole lot. Looking to spend around 450 on tires for the set and was wondering if anyone knew which would be the best bang for the buck, I live in Chicago!!
TIRE SELECTION
THANKS A TON GUYS.....yall ROCK!!

couple reasons,
1. I live in chicago and traffic was really GETTIN to me!
2. I felt I would compare my ride if it was manual to my 330i with the feel and get annoyed
BOTTOM LINE - ya I know and agree manual is the way to go! Just wanted a clean audi at a good price and this came up.
Besides now I can smoke, talk on the cell and drive no worries.....i know thats bad too...lol

dude - I would suggest you stay away from the 712 Ecsta Supras. They get very noisy after 10-15K miles.
I had them and hated them - though they did grab quite well in the dry and even better in wet.
I have been running the Falken Azenis St115's for the past 3 months and I like em a lot more than the 712's so far.
Don't let the auto-haters get to ya, man. With the tip chip you will be shifting faster than them.
Besides, its nice to be on the phone, eating a donut with coffee in hand while driving in traffic on your way to work...

hey
thanks brrman, I agree I had a set of falken azenis on my e36 in it and it stuck amazingly!!
Now the dilemma is I live in Chicago and plan to kind of try and get buy driving with my 18s in the snow, so a All performance would be my best bet?
Any suggestions for good ones not too expensive?
thanks

I'd get the Avon all season tire... Can't remember what it's called. But to my knowledge, avon only makes 2 tires, a summer performancem, and an all season. Check them out, they are priced well, look like they came off a porsche, and have gotten great reviews.
www.tirerack.com might be one of the only places that sells them, though.

hey
thanks guys, I foud those on tirerack and good price, think I will go with them headshock.
Also, I wanted to get 245 for the rear and 225 for the front. Would that hurt the suspension or brakes etc.?
Again I have a stock 97 A4 1.8tq
thanks

Avon's have gotten incredible reviews and so have the Fuzion ZRIs. I've had the Fuizion for 10,000 miles and I love them. Low road noise, even tread wear, and incredible traction.
