wheels sound like they are rubbing
I have a 2000 A6 2.7t. I just put 235/45/17 from an A4 that look really nice, they are black. Anyways they are making a noise up front. I was wondering if these tires are a little bit to wide or if it is something else I am over looking. This forum has nerver let me down. Thanks in advance

I guess no-one has an answer.
You don't give any details like when going straight, turning, turning sharp, etc
Maybe you should crawl under the vehicle and see what's rubbing. It will be the shiny spot or line.

That is the rim size, with Pirelli's, that I run on my A6 and there is no rubbing. Look underneath for rub marks on hoses or suspension. Then have someone turn the wheel lock to lock while you look under there (keep your hands out).

Im still trying to figure this one out everyone says there should be no problem. If you ever heard what it sound like when someone put big tires on a jacked up truck. It sound like that but not that loud at all it is somewhat faint but is a litter irritating.

Still don't know when you hear the noise..
Always? sometimes? when turning? going straight?
Did you pull off the wheels and see if there were shiny spots?
If they are rubbing there should be obvious contact areas....
