Default Whys my a6 shifting hard?

Hi, I own a audi 26 2.7t and I am currently having an issue with the transmission. about 2 months ago it started going into limp mode so i took it to my mechanic(audi/vw specialist) in my town. He scanned the car because as well as my car being in limp mode it threw a code. Comes to find out it was p1819 (n216) pressure control valve 2 short to ground. His prognosis was that the pcv that threw the code needed to be replaced and while he was in there he would do a transmission flush because it would have to b drained anyway for service. So i get the car back everything is fine except now its shifting hard into 2nd and sometimes down shifts hard into random gears. I called and told my mechanic he told me to bring it back he might have forgot to adapt the throttle body. In the mean time the car went back into limp mode forcing me to bring it there right away. Cleared the codes adapted the throttle body, car went back into limp mode. which and then he told me sorry (lol) i have to do some more research and figure out whats going on call me in a few days if you don't hear from me. didn't hear from him. It has been a month since the car has been in limp mode. I attempted replacing the battery to see if it would cure the solution didn't work but what actually did was me turn the ignition on very slowly and ever since that no more limp mode but my car is now shifting hard still. Does anyone know why this might be? Could no of adapting the throttle body right away after the initial service harmed my transmission? any help would be appreciated Thank You!
