worried about my 2000 2.7T
I just bought my 2000 Audi A6 2.7t Quattro, trip, navigation, in great condition for $7500. it has 80k miles and my mechanic friend and myself are going to do the timing belt work outselves. But after joining audi forums and finding out that the 00 is prone to turbo failure and other problems I nervous about holding onto the car. It was a well maintained 1 owner car, so im hopeing the repair bills wont be too painful. I know all cars have risks, and this one drive amazing.. should i keep it and enjoy it? or try and sell it for more than i paid?

RE: worried about my 2000 2.7T
keep the car. I had the exact same issue as you. you are fine on the tb job just make sure you replace the water pump as well.
then find a good tuner/performance shop to align your self with. this has been helpful for me when I run into issues I can come on the forum or e mail my tuner.
a lot of people hear use
vastperformance (first choise best prices)
awe
ecs little odds and ends good for small parts
german auto parts same as ecs
the car is fun to have the turbo will blow but when depends partly on you. do good matience. let the car cool down after running it hard and use good oil this will help the car along the way

with any 2.7T model, you will have the possibility of turbo failure with mileage........ I would just get every problem you have fixed and you should be happy and able to enjoy your car......
