DONT start your engine or crank
i had a piece of brass about the size of a quarter sucked into my impeller about a month ago.
Let's just say i'm having both turbos upgraded to K04 early next week.
Total labor =$2,500 + Turbos + New software

well the bad news is its getting towed to the shop on monday... cant find the screw and i managed to shove the magnetic snake all the way down to the bottom of the engine by taking a lot of stuff apart ... i couldnt get the snake down the intercooler pipe really far because of the "S" bend at the bottom of the pipe ... however there are some positives coming from this ... i did find a rubber hose that was dryrotted and had been leaking for the past however long which was propably taking a lot of my power away ... ill let you know how much the bill is when i get the car back ... hopefully by tuesday or weds
thanks for all the input and support AF

also if anyone is lookin for a set of OBX manifolds i had 2 and put one on the car so i have a set left sitting here comes with everything n they are sealed in the box ... let me know or is there a place on this forum to post stuff for sale?? manifolds are a must for the k04 upgrade too!
Yuck! That really sucks you couldn't find it. Hopefully the guy at your shop can find it quick and cuts you a break. Even if he can't find it, he should at least be able to ascertain if it in fact went into the intercooler pipe or another area where it can do damage.
dropped it off at the shop today ... the guy said he would call me tomorrow at 5pm n let me know the results ...he is replacing 2 rubber sleeve too that were dry rotted and probably taking some of my power ... the only thing to be pissed about now is if he cnt find it and it never actually went in there lol ... all i can do is laugh now ... whats done is done
At least you'll have peace of mind knowing that you did the right thing.
Or maybe you got a piece of knowledgethat says you need to put a clean rag in any open hole that could lead to trouble the next time you attempt a project.
