XENON HEAD LAMPS - Replacement options
My 2006 A6 Xenon headlamps are all hazed and look terrible.
I have been looking for replacements and oddly enough have not been able to locate anything with a cost of less than 800 each.
Anybody else have any luck in finding a source or replacement unit.
Don't want to go used because they might even look worse than mine.
thank you

There are several products on the market that polish and restore the plastic. Meguairs and Mothers sell them as kits. I generally use Meguiars Ultimate Compound to remove the worst of the haze (takes a lot of elbow grease) followed by their Plastic-X for the final cleaning and polishing. Then a couple good coats of car wax. Unfortunately, the haze is due to UV and will come back in 3-6 months depending on where you live, but if you wax the headlights frequently it helps. It's a lot cheaper than replacement, plus even new headlights will deteriorate due to the UV. Kinda makes you miss the old round glass headlights.
