Default 2012 A7 Prestige: B & O vs Bose

I am going to lease an Audi A7 Prestige (Phantom Black/Black) and am trying to decide on whether to add the B & O system. I know it's a ton of loot and most reviews say don't bother spending the 6K. But I'm leasing it and my dealer is going to give me a nice break if I add it, so it'll only add another $50/month to the payment. I'm in the music biz and my stereo is very important to be. I have a B & O system in my 2009 A4 Prestige and I don't want to go backwards. With all of that said, does anyone have the B & O system and if so, did you test it next to the Bose? I haven't been able to listen to the B & O system in person and I need advice. I'm already aware that the system is overpriced, so I'm looking for more of an informed perspective with the consideration that an additional $50/month for a stereo system wasn't a deterrent.

I have a 2012 A7 Prestige with the B&O, and while it is very impressive I would hesitate to say it is $5900 impressive. Also have a 2010 S5 with the Bose system. The comparison is complicated by the fact that the S5 is a convertible, but I would still say the B&O is a close call for the money. One would need to be a very discriminating music aficionado to justify the cost.

For $50/month added to your lease, it makes sense. I'm buying it on my car for sure, despite the cost. For most people it certainly isn't $5900 worth of stereo. For a fellow Hi-Fi aficionado, it most certainly is.

There's a saying in the Hi-Fi biz: "No highs? No Lows? Must be Bose!" Food for thought

The difference is big between B&O and the Bose. For me it's not worth the $5,900. I'm in the music industry and a good sound system is very important to me. For me, B&O products have such a sleek design that's why they charge the extra $$$. Sound quality wise it's okay nothing spectacular. I'd suggest save your $5,900 and add an amplifier and upgrade the speakers elsewhere. You can easily achieve the same effect if not better. This is again my opinion.

i have a bose in my 2008 Q7,
and i have B&O in my 2008 S8

we usually drive in the S8. The other day, my friend and i were in the Q7 and he goes, whats wrong with this song, it sounds weird, different.

Huge difference even to the uneducated ear, get the B&O with your eyes closed, no regrets, except that the bose has a better bass.
