A7 forum folks...been a a4 b7 owner for 4 years now and participated a bit on the b7 forum. Was checking ya'll out cause mama may be getting a a6 or a7 this fall. Outside of looks with a premium package, i didnt see the the reason for going to an a7 over the 6? ANy thoughts on this? Guess i mainly think this because of the 3.0 supercharged engine. appreciate it!

 

Typo in your title, A6 vs. A7 as in the text makes a lot more sense.

The new A6 and the A7 are the same exact car, just sedan vs. hatchback with the latter priced $7,000 higher. General consensus is that the A7 is much more stylish, but you definitely pay for it.

 

you got it right on the head. and as far as i know they both have the same option sheet for all the goodies

 

Okay thank you for confirming what I suspected!

 

A6 doesn't have trunk closure like A7. I can't vouch for handling. Otherwise, styling and new steel are different.
