I just got a 2004 Audi A8L My dream ride pretty much loaded It seems to be pretty clean Bought it from a dealer. it has 51K on it is there anything i need to be aware of ? I will put approx 3.5K a year on it and i take good care of my cars This is my third audi i have an A6-A4 Before Also how can i put an ipod and Blue tooth in it Thanks everybody

 

The only thing you have to look out for is the upper control arms, if it starts to clunk when turning the steering wheel the bushings are toast.
Blue tooth should already be installed, but certain phones on the 04 aren't recognized by the computer, there may be an update but im not sure.
As for the Ipod, there is an install kit that audi sells if youdon't want use the 6 cd changer [:'(]If thats not your cup of tea, install an aftermarket kit.

 

Hi got an A8 2004 has 80k from dealer...had some work under warranty... look out for the sunroof...could be swicth , will not close some times, had it replaced under warranty,
trans shift 2nd to 3rd rough had the trans fluid changed (1,000 dollar) under warranty, o.k know.
i get lifter or valve nosie in morning some times looking at the forum , is normall ????

looking for a scanner to reset service reminder so i don't have to take it to dealer ..any sugguestions as to which one to buy ???? vag-com looks to be the best but 329.00 big money

This is scary. I was thinking of getting a new A8 and tend to keep my cars for a long time, 6 to 10 years.
If just a tranny fluid change is over $1,000.00 I can't imagine what a serious issue would cost. I may have to reconsider my next car.

How often is the tranny fluid changed?
