1999 Audi A8 Torque Converter Unlocking
Hello All,
I just bought a 99 Audi A8Q with a 4.2 @ 117k off my buddy. I was looking for another daily driver and he was hard up for cash so i got a good deal.
Anyways, under low throttle the torque converter will constantly lock and unlock until I give it more throttle or slid the shifter to manual mode. I took it to the local tranny shop, he plugged in some scanner and went driving around with me. HE confirmed its the torque converter and that I am not getting any transmission codes.
My buddy said he would pay for new filter and fluid (Redlline) which we did saturday morning and it changed nothing, which i didn't think it would. All the contacts inside the tranny were solid.
Does anyone know the difference between the blue adn green solenoids in the trans?
Any thoughts on this guys?
