2000 A8L for 6500, good deal?
Ive been looking to get into another audi, I was looking at the A6's with the 2.7t but decided not too because of the difficulty and expense of the turbo problems.. I came across a 99 Audi a8L, but from research it says that the new style door handle A8's started in 2000, was there a 99.5 model? Anyways it is the new style body with updated front valence/fogs/headlights with the longer wheel base and the updated door handles, it has barely over 100k miles, timing belt was done at 80k, one owner, dealer maintained. The seller is firm on the price and I am going to take it for a test drive tommarow.
Sorry if alot of this stuff is covered on these forums, im really just pressed for time at this point and need other A8 owners opinions more than anything, from what I can tell this is a great deal for this car, but I just wanted to make sure.

The deal depends on how the tranny shifts. If it goes into reverse without any problems and it shifts smooth when under heavy accelleration then yes thats a good deal. If the tranny doesn't feel very good then don't buy the car.

I'm interested in the response to this last post too! Ever since I bought mine (which was 2 months ago...with a newly rebuilt transmission), mine does the same thing between 30 and 50 mph. It's like it's swithcing between 2 gears and doesn't know which one is best...
