Default 2005 A8 TPMS Sensor help

HELP!!!

Hi gang, I have a 2005 A8 and when I bought the car a little over a year ago the TPMS Sensor batteries were dead. I have been staring at the damn flat tire icon for over a year. I just got some new tires and ordered the TPMS Sensors from OEWheels and had them put in with the tire change. Problem is I bought the 315 MHz sensors instead of the 433 MHz sensors. Is there a way to change the TPMS receiver's frequency to 315 MHz? I don't have VAG-COM so I can't play with it. I really don't want to order a new set of the right sensors to replace the wrong ones. Any advice???

Please advise,

Bob

Has to be done with VCDS Audi A8 (4E) Tire Pressure Monitoring - Ross-Tech Wiki

Vaguely recall that the receivers may need to be changed as well [could be wrong], but I'd try changing the coding first.

changing the coding can change the frequency, ones available can be seen in the link in the prev post

better of swapping them for the correct ones though

I have the same issue with my tire sensors and I suspect it's the batteries. How do you know what sensors to buy at what Mhz?

US TPMS is usually 433MHz.
Your PR codes [on sticker in book and/or spare tire well] will list them.

Also your VCDS coding will tell you.
