Hi' I hope someone can help, I have a loud whistle @ tickover on my 2001 A8 3.7, I have owned many turbo cars (previously all diesels) but none have 'whistled @ low rev's. Is this an Audi phenomenon? any info' would be much appreciated.[sm=bounceybounce.gif]

 

Well you don't have any turbos on your engine if thats what your thinking....... Try taking off the serpintine belt and see if the noise goes away, its common for pulleys to make whistling noises on audi engines.
