Im buying my 1st a8 but i cant seem to decide between the 07-09. Which is more reliable and known to have the least problems or malfunctions. Whats the major difference between these models? Which do you prefer or recommend?
I REALLY LIKE THE LONG BODY HOWEVER WHICH MODEL OF IT IS BEST FOR AN ALMOST EVERYDAY VEHICLE?

 

If your choice is between those 3 years, go at least to an '08...close to the same car as the '07, but 2nd year of the FSi engine (work of art) and similar (same?) transmission...BUT one BIG difference: Reworked, more dependable suspension, better ride/handling and new steering ratio...BETTER.
The '09 is close to the same as an '08, but with added bells and whistles (park assist, rear view camera, side assist, etc...options?) at a cost.
I prefer the standard wheel base on all year A8's myself...the L just makes for rear seat leg room and longer wheelbase...a little heavier and more expensive.

 

I have an 07 and love it. The 08 has the dynamic cruise control, something I wish I had.

Basically the same car. I think the body style of the 09 changed slightly.
