A8L MMI Screen Woes
A year ago the MMI screen would intermittently not come up when the car was started. Sometimes if you held the volume button, it would, and other times, you'd have to hold it for a good while - then it would actually reboot and start.
At first the dealer couldn't diagnose it. Finally it did it there, and they diagnosed a faulty satellite radio module. So, that was replaced. All was perfect for two weeks until the MMI is doing it again....doesn't raise up almost half the time. etc.
Any thoughts suggestions, recommendations when I take the car back in?

Not really anything you can tell them but the exact statement you told us. The MMI system is a fiber optic data loop, so if one thing in the loop malfunctions, the whole system goes down. It "SHOULD" store a fault code if it malfunctions again, and it might be something completely seperate from the satellite module altogether.
Let us know what the outcome is.
