Default Which brake sensors does my 2002 audi a8 have

I did a search and found nothing on the forums, so if this is a repeat I apologize in advance. I don't know if I have the round ones, or the square shaped ones. I need front brakes, and don't know what to order.

Please help, or direct me to a forum that has the answer.

Okay here is part 2 of this. I called the dealer and found out that this car has round sensors. The new catch is when I pulled one of the tires this car does not have any sensors on it at all. The brake pads, and the wires from the car are hard wired together. How difficult will it be to buy the other end of this socket? Do I need a whole wiring harness? If I decide to hard wire the new brakes in like they are now Is there a positive and negative aspect to these wires, or will it not matter how they are connected?

pads and sensors are one piece (you should have the top set in the pic based on what your dealer said) and they should run you $120-150 for oem

hope that helps

I have the 8 pad set. I am going to play it by ear. I might have to go to the junkyard to get a caliper (see new thread) and may see if I can find the other end to the cable.

Sounds like he needs the other (upper) end of the sensor, the part that comes from the car.

You should be able to jury-rig it. It's a simple circuit. No rocket surgery involved. Shouldn't even matter about pos/neg since the actual sensor just registers a break in the circuit (or else simply tristing the ends together wudn't defeat the feature).

good luck!
