Broken Intake Actuator Arms? (Finally we have options)
Guys much of you knows about this problem and some you not aware as yet. On our cars at the end of the intake manifold under the black cover there are two sets of actuators with plastics arms on them that goes bad after a period of time mainly because of heat which causes them to break.
SilverD2 has done a DIY on replacing them a while ago and the repair kit at Audi runs about $430 per side. If you have not check yours, it is time to check them it tankes about ten minutes. If they are still in tack, that you are good but if they are not it is time to replace them. I bought mines from this guys and will be here this week. They looks solid compare to the flimsy plastic ones that they come with from Audi which are meant to break which is why there is a repair kit for it.
