Has anyone ever installed a cold air intake on their A8? I was just curious to know exactly what type of performance is suppose to be added and if its worth it

 

If it's an FSI car, I wouldn't do it. A8 is not the type of car you want to play around with aftermarket performance parts. If you want more power, then look into buying an S8. I don't see many people doing things with engines on A8s. Try searching around the forums if anyone has done anything with cold air intakes on these cars.

 

I'm not sure about other engine sizes but the 4.2l v8 petrol comes with a cold air intake stock. That's what the rectangle shaped hose coming off the front of the air box is.
