Completely dead
Woke up this morning to go to work and my beautiful 2010 Audi A8L Quattro won’t start. The doors wouldn’t open and at first I thought it was my key fob battery, but it wasn’t. It wouldn’t crank at all. No lights, sounds, nothing, just dead. I bought a brand new battery less then a year ago so I’m surprised this would happen without any warning. I drive it everyday and no indication what so ever that something like this could just happen. I had to get it towed to a shop near me and it took the towing operator an hour just to be able to get enough juice to get it in neutral (he had a jump box it didn’t work). He said that with heavy rain he tows more Audi’s for this same issue. Something about water resting near electrical components and just having to wait until it dries out and it should crank right up. Is that a common thing? Audi’s not starting due to heavy rainfall? We have had some massive storms where I’m from and we had one last night. My whole backyard was flooded it was so bad. So it made me think what he said was true, but wanted to come on here to ask if that was a common issue.
