Strange issue with car starting

Car has been running great. Brother took it out and called me to say it wouldn't start. Went to look at it and it seemed like battery was dead. Noticed radio in safe mode, key fob doesn't work at all, interior lights aren't working, and for some reason, after jumping it (started immediately), the windows work, but the auto up and auto down feature aren't working.

Drove it home, battery shows its getting 14V and everything seems fine. Park, turn car off, try to turn it back on, nothing. No clicks, doesn't turn over at all, just like the first time. I turn the key and its absolutely silent. I have dealt with dead or dying batteries, but this doesn't seem the same. You usually get a crank or two out of a dead battery. But this one has been running strong. It almost seems like the car is shutting off some system to keep me from starting it. No engine lights or anything though.

I wish I had time to go check codes and fiddle around with batteries, but this is my DD and I have to get to work. I can't have someone following me around jumping my car as I run around trying to figure it out. I (cringe) may have to head to the dealer since it seems like something more than the batter / alternator.

Suggestions please. I will have a few hours to mess with it in the morning before I have to take it to the shop.

Either dead battery or bad ingnition switch. I think it is the battery.

How old is the battery and when is the last time you checked the electrolyte level in the battery?
