Do I have sport suspension or not on my 2004 A8L?
#21
I also need to know if I have sports suspension or not. I just purchased a 2004 A8L with the air suspension. I have some problems with the air suspension and it was recommended to me to replace the air shocks. The problem is that you can get these in 2 types, sport and w/o sport. How can I find out?
thanks,
Ronald

Most cars (mine included) came with the same sticker in owners manual package (if you have one)...usually in the maintenance booklet.
Then go to this site to translate the codes..it will include suspension type..example "1BA" = "standard suspension" in my car:

Look at the ID and options code sticker in the spare tire well in your trunk...All VW's and Audis have this.

Of course I have to be the exception: there is not tag in my owners manual, neither is there a code sticker in the spare wheel well. I found a spot where i think the sticker was at one point, but that is it.
Is there a way to get it through the vin number: WAUML44E04N024908?
Or, if that is not possible, can I see it by looking at the airshocks themselves? Or any other way?
Thanks,
Ronald
