has anyone had a problem where the power trunk will open from both the button on the drivers door, on the key fob and from the outside of the trunk but it wont close from the button on the trunk lid?

it just started happening to me today and I am pulling my hair out trying to figure it out,
when I press the close button it doesn't even make a sound like it wants to close, it just does nothing.

 

I would start with the switch

 

Mine did that and the wire just came loose in the back. Just remove the screws inside the road side assists and the rest of the carpet is held in by clips. Hope that helps.
