Hmmm, I decided not to go with new rotors, but probably will next time. I only did the fronts, rears look like they're still good for a bit. Was by far the easiest pad change I've ever done, except getting those sensor connections to slide into the little brackets was difficult, one of them broke as I was trying to jam it in there, but the sensor still works as my brake light is no longer on.

I found that those, what i assume is anti-squeal clips, were dfficult to put back on. They've always posed more of a problem than they should on the beamer too. But, yeah, i'd put them exactly on par with the beamer...as far as pads and rotors go. Gotta give it to those Germans.

Please keep me informed on how your Blauparts brakes turn out. I have a $100 credit with them and was going to get the front brake package with the brakes and rotors. As a whole set it was quite a lot cheaper than ordering individually. So please let me know what your end result is with them so far...

So far so good, didn't even notice a break in period, they were nice and grabby from the start. The pads they gave me were actually made by honeywell. I think that by the time these pads are worn I'll be needing rotors too and will most likely buy the Blauparts slotted kit.

I couldn't find the slotted rotors package for the A8. Only the normal one, maybe you could point me to it or link me to it. Last time I spoke to them they didn't have a slotted rotors for the A8... Yet at least.

The brakes have improved significantly, but still not as sharp as before. If i had just started driving the car i wouldn't even notice.

I've used the OEM pads (pagid?), Axis/PDR Deluxe (low dust), and Axis Ultimates. I found that the Ultimates have more bite than OEM or the Axis Deluxe. So much more that when I used a set of the Pagids on a recent brake job, I drove with them for a day and ordered a set of Ulitmates. I love the Ultimates on my car. NOT a low dust pad, but it's a small price to pay for the increased stopping power. Most notable is the hotter they are the more thay bite. I found the other pads fading when hot.
