Did they replace the filter??? your pump will die if your filter is clogged and causes it to work to hard (rule of thumb ALWAYS REPLACE TOGETHER) if you replace filter and it still does it could have already down the deed on your new pump!
also one other cheap thing to try is coolant temp sensor if your ecu thinks the cars warm when its not (vice versa) it will advance and retard timing and fuel/air ratio Wrong

UPDate!!
Everyone The shop that put my fuel pump in did it wrong!in doing so they cracked a pickup tube in the fuel tank that the fuel pump assy fit onto.Found this out the hard way!Picked up my car with new fuel pump and gasket set,Fuel filter, MAF sensor and air filter!Cost $1008 for labor I provided all parts.Drove 130 miles and guess what car sputters and Dies right there.about a 1/4 tank of fuel used.Car was towed to an Audi Dealer pump was bad again?Seriously....?Order new put it in and still wouldnt run that's when the damage was found. The shop that did the repair laughed and said"it's an Audi" you should have replaced the entire pump assy and you wouldnt have this problem now!No money back!No offer to pay for the damage!Total bill now stands at $5000 bucks!New tank, new fuel pump and labor!and over 30 days later and we still dont have our once awesome A8!

The electric fuel pump was an audi a8 pump from Python injection! So why replace the housing? It wasn't broken. It would have been better to bring it to a shop that at least respects the car!All the excuse's were Audi this and Audi that.
