Hey Guys,
Was thinking of getting my 2005 A8 tinted. Was looking to do Limo tint on all the back windows and 35% on the front side doors. Anyone have any pictures of their Audi's with tint and any percent or anything they can reccommend? Also, the stuff I'm getting is Solar-gard's top of the line stuff with the carbon in it for max scratch resistance. The premium series.

I have pictures of my S4 with 35% all the way around, just try to imagine it with 5% in the back i guess. Maybe someone else can help.

 

that looks awesome man!, now have you had any problems at all with scratching? and do you know what brand of tint was used?

 

No problems with scratching, and i had them use Solar Guard tint film, that and formula 1 tint are some of the best.

 

Okay great, because compared to my last car (07 Accord) the a8's window sills are much tighter not as loose. And I am getting the Solar Gard film "premium" version, he said its the top of the line and is very durable and prone to scratching". Sure hope so lol! quoted for $319 for whole car except windshield. Although, now my sunshades will be useless

 

My tint guy cried like a baby after doing my A8. He did the A6 before it and said nothing but I guess the A8 seals are a pita to push the film past. Find some one who has done an A8 or else take the windows out.

 

Well had it done. Got it done by a reputable place that said he has done a8's before. It looks amazing. Got limo in the back and 20% in the front. Just waiting for the air bubbles on the back window to evaporate and disappear.

definitely, will upload some soon. Also while on the topic of cars appearance anyone know where to get the 05' silver paint. I have some of mine peel off of the headlight washer jet and it has a small spot missing paint.

 

NAPA autoparts and some pepboys stores have a paint match for the audi silver paint that comes in a touch up bottle. The dealer of course has touch up paint, and a clear coat touch up.
