My A8 Dec 2003 has just deleloped a problem.It drove fantastis yesterday but this morning the glow plug light was on and there was no power at all. the car drives with no umpf. 0.60 in about 1 min!!!
There is no smoke or any other signs of a problem.
Can any one give me a clue what may be wrong with my baby.
The turbos under the bonnett are cold so I assume that is why it drives like a skoda!! but what is stopping them working, is it electronic or merchanical.

Turbos? WTF? When did they put turbos on an A8? Do you have a 2.7T under the hood or something?

 

I fogot to say it was a 4.0 TDI but I thought all would understand a petrol engine will not have GLOW plugs

Oh, didn't see the glow plug post. Well we don't have the TDI motors in the states so i can't comment. I would say its in some kind of limp mode.
