Unlocking
Hi Im new to this and I need some help..
Today when I went to unlock my car (which I do manually) I unlocked it the drivers door opened and when I turn it twice all doors unlock.. but not today.. they also do not all unlock when I hit the switch in the door.. any help!?!? what could be the problem?? and is it gonna cost me alot??? Pleease help! much appreciated!!

It depends on what year A8 you have, if its an earlier model the locks are vaccum operated and aren't too expensive to fix, if its a D3 A8 (04 and up) its probably a bad door latch which is messing with the electrical system which can cost a lot more to fix.

it's a 98.. i'm just nervous because it opens the gas door as well when i unlock all doors [&:]uggghh.. i'll talk to someone tomorrow about it..
also.. i've had a check engine light on practically since i got it 2 years ago.. its code is reading an evap leak (small..) eek ??

A engine vaccum leak can be related to your car not un-locking correctly so def. get the check engine light and vaccum lines checked out.
As for the gas door that has an electrical solenoid that opens that so it should always work un-less the solenoid malfunctions.
