Default What Winter Wheel Tire Combinations do you run?

I was curious what most people run for their winter wheel and tire combinations. Do most of you run factory size of 18in or do you go down to 17's? What tires have you found to be the best? Blizzak? Pirelli Winter? Dunlop?

I run Continental DWS all-seasons on stock 19 inch Turbines. I live in the Northwest, so it doesn't make a lot of sense to run specialized/seasonal tires for me. In my area, we see a few snow days a year, lots of rain, and some sun on rare occasions. (Love it or leave it!)

However, there are plenty of folks that drive over our mountain passes on a regular basis. If that were me, I'd be rolling on Winter tires for the extra security the added gription gives. I don't have any first-person experience with Winter tires, I've always used quality all-seasons for their versatility.

Carry on...

I use Blizzak

I like the ride too, a little sloppy though on the corners.

235/50R-18 Michelin X-Ice Xi2 on factory 18's

quiet, handle surprisingly well for a snow tire, price was reasonable and the foul weather grip is awesome
