What's that air releasing sound after I turn off the engine?
Just bought a 2005 Audi A8L. Everytime I turn off the car and walk away it makes a releasing of air noise. Just wanted to know what this is?
Also my tail light has a small crack on the surface, I want to replace it just so the car is perfect. Can I do this myself or just get this done by a local mechanic?

Congratulations, it's a great vehicle !
The vehicle is self leveling - that's what you are hearing.
Just be sure it's not sagging overnight as that could be a strut or compressor issue.
You can definitely fix the lamp yourself.
Unfortunately you'll have to buy the whole assembly like this: 2005 Audi A8 Quattro Parts - Audi Wholesale OEM Parts | Audi Genuine Accessories | Audi Branded Collection | Audi USA Parts Online Catalog estore
Otherwise may want to check eBay for one.

Thanks man, appreciate the help. I was hoping I wouldn't have to buy all of it and can just get the lens cover part somewhere. I might just leave it as is and fix down the road, not too noticeable.
I got the car inspected and they said all is good. Just need to change tires and battery.
I thought I got a great deal, the car definitely needs some serious interior detailing done though, which I plan on doing myself today and this weekend.
