Wiper Blades & Refills (aka Inserts)
Looking for advice on wiper blades and refills.
I thought it would be easy to find wiper blade refills for my new-to-me 2000 A8. But, no.
I went to audionlineparts.com, which offered Bosch wiper refills. Is Bosch the mfr of Audi wiper blades? If not, how do I know that they will fit the blades on my A8?
What do you use? Do you buy refills? Or do you always replace the whole wiper blade?

I've never seen a "refill" for an Audi - do you mean just the rubber portion ?
Replaced them once on my 2005 and the whole blade comes off the arm.
These are for the D2, similar to what I bought from ECS Audi D2 A8 Quattro 4.2 > Exterior > Wiper > ES#2162518 Front Wiper Blade Set - 4B7998425
Bosch probably makes them, but since I couldn't find them most places I just ordered the Audi OEMs.

Jakematic: Yes, I mean just the rubber part.
I always replace just the rubber part on my 98 Accord and 04 Solara. The steel part is fine. No need to replace it. And the rubber part costs only 1/3 to 1/2 the cost of the whole blade.
In 2009, I replaced the entire blades on my 95 Suburban with Michelin blades. I come to find they don't sell the rubber refills. Pylon manufactures the blades for Michelin. Pylon's website explains that they don't sell the rubber refills separately because their customers apparently prefer the ease and convenience of replacing the whole blade. So, I'm stuck with replacing the entire blade.
Do you know who manufactures the wiper blades for Audi? Was it Bosch? Pylon? Trico? Anco? Other? Did Audi use the same manufacturer when it built my 2000 A8? Perhaps I can go direct to Audi's manufacturer and get my refills from them.

There really isn't much steel on the Audi "aero" blades but can see it being cheaper to replace just the rubber strip.
Not even sure the rubber could be replaced the way they are put together.
It's been eons since I can recall changing a blade that way
Not sure who makes them, but let us know if you find a supplier.
