Hi all,

Have narrowed my selection to the Q5. Is the 2. OT engine sufficient for this car? I really don't want to shell out $3000 more for the 3.0. The car is expensive enough now.

If you aren't planning on hauling some big 24 ft boat or trailer.. you should be okay. Trust me the T is for TURBO... and that Turbo has plenty of power to overtake someone or outrun them at a light. I have a 2013 Q5 Hybrid 2.0 T

 

I had the same thought when I started looking at the Q5... I thought the 2.0T would be overloaded. However, I was quite surprised at how peppy it was. I ended up ordering the TDI though.. The ventilated seats were an absolute requirement which required a higher package which required the 3.0T or TDI
