Default Q5 passenger side carpet wet...

Hello Q5ers. I'm not sure if this has been posted before, if so please respond with the thread.

I noticed this morning there was a water stain on the passenger side carpet. I lifted the carpet and felt the carpet was wet. Not soaking, but just damp. I seen in other forums where an evaporator valve can get clogged.

Has anyone else had this problem with their Q? If so, is something a DIYer can do or should I take it to the stealership?

I found out through forum hunting that there's a TSB (technical service bulletin) that addressed this issue. Apparently there's an issue with the evap seal seperating from the dash panel allowing condensation to leak down to the passenger side floor. When I took it to the "stealership" for my 55k service I mentioned it to the service rep. He confirmed my the TSB for me. At the end of the day I paid 150 for them to repair the seal. I haven't any problems with it sence.

I had the problem this week! Turns out a drain line in the area where the windshield wipers park when not in use has a drain line that was plugged up. Rainwater backed up somehow and came in.
Mine was fixed under warranty in a single day. I asked the service writer about cleaning it out myself when warranty was over and he said it was tough, very tough to do but there might be a video on youtube by now showing how to do it. I haven't looked for it yet.

I am also having the same water intrusion issue with my 2011 Q5 after a rain storm. What was the resolution from the dealer?
Thanks

It was fixed for free under warranty for me. It took about 2 to 3 days though and they gave me a nice A6 loaner car.

Default water intrusion into the front passenger side.

This was taken care of by the dealer and was under warranty. They said a water vent was clogged and they fixed it with no charge.
