Gas, not diesel.

First off, can someone identify that piece?

Thermostat? Secondary pump?

As far as I can tell, the leak is either coming from the plastic piece that screws into the metal piece.

Or I think it may be coming from that upward facing hose in the back. It looks almost as though the hose should be further up on the plastic piece.

Anyone experience a leak from this area? Any common causes?
