Took it to a non-Audi Mechanic to have the freon filled, The A/C compressor was not engaging, He unpluged the compressor and "manually" engaged the compressor and the AC worked, Compressor engaged and Cold Air came from vents. Told me it must be an electrical error. He ran a scan on the HVAC module and no errors. I have a VAGCOM and I did not pull any errors either. So I figured it was probably the Control Module so I ordered a great condition used one(lifetime warranty), I know hard to believe. My question is I know I will need to re-code and run Basic Settings, but will I have any issues with Component Protection. Also does anyone know where I can get the values for coding the module?

they both have to send OK signal for the pump to be able to engage. It's a common problem on all cars and usually can be diagnosed with a paper lip.
