Hi there! I am looking to replace my '06 Cayenne Turbo with a certified '08 Q7 and wanted to know what current owners think about it. We need the extra space and it will be the family car for running around town and going to the mountains (Tahoe) for skiing. My Cayenne is excellent in the snow with special ice&snow tires so am also interested in snow and ice performance opinions as well as reliability, build quality, or any other thoughts (engine, options, etc). The other SUV we are considering is the Lexus LX.

the q7 will ride better than the lx. you'll have more command of the road, and you won't feel like you're in a school bus. you'll have to put the third row down to gain the extra space over teh cayenne. if you're looking at 08, go for the big engine. imo. you'll be fine in the snow. swap tires if you're planning on spending a lot of time in the hills. enjoy!
