have a problem with the tail gate not closing when switch is pressed it will open via the key and the switch on drivers door but i have to close it manually anyone any ideas thanks

 

I have the same issue. Did you ever get it fixed?

 

Not sure if this will help but I noticed the following with my rear hatch: I have an Audi accessory mat to protect the rear cargo area. The mat slides around, and sometimes slides back against the rear hatch door. The hatch always opens okay, but when I go to close it, sometimes it has trouble closing because I think the mat is interfering with the door latch mechanism. Sliding the mat forward away from the rear hatch solved the problem.

 

I had to take mine back to the dealer so they could adjust the latch plate for mine to close properly and to also get rid of the annoying rattle caused by the mis-adjusted latch mechanism.

 

Yup, you gotta take it to dealer. My friend from DSRLeasing had this problem as well, he took it to dealer immediately.

 

I had an issue with my tailgate as well.

took it in, turns out the motor was bad - got it replaced.
