Default "New" 2002 Quattro purchase

Hi all, I just made my first leap into the Deutsch world of autosport about 48 hours ago. I did it by buying a 2002 TT quattro 225 coupe ALMS (?) with 10K miles. Absolutely flawless perfect condition. Looks HOT, runs magnificently, and really seems to be a true driver's car. I've been out of the onroad performance game for a couple years, but I think I've jumped back in with both feet. Anyway, other than the obvious (owner's manual), where can I find out more about my car? The dealer seemed to think it was a special edition (cool red paint, 18" rims, light grey interior, unique steering wheel) but I don't see a badge anywhere.

Also, I've yet to own a car that didn't get it's fair share of mods, and I'm sure this is no exception. I will likely do the standard stuff (chip, intake, exhaust) and my research on that will begin soon enough, but for the time being, I have GOT to replace the horn! Yes it is not performance oriented, and quite superficial I know. But I need to hit that button and hear a "HEY! GET OUT OF THE WAY!" not a "Umm, excuse me, but those shoes sooo do not go with that belt, mister!" Has anyone else swapped the horn out? I plan to be a contributing member here as soon as possible, but for the time being, I'm afraid I'll be doing little other than reading the FAQs and the archives. My pics will be online whenever my service provider gets around to fixing my account. [:@] For now, here's a pic of my purchase day - you can see what I'm used to driving. Quite a bit different, ja?

Bis spaeter!

Default RE: "New" 2002 Quattro purchase

Hey welcome ROC, I'm somewhat new too, I bought a 04 tt in March. The car is really fun to drive especially on the off ramps and highway. Thats a sharp lookin ALMS u got your hands on! I don't think there is special badging for it, The colors available inside and out along with the rims back in '02 "9 spokes" were what set the Alms apart. That and also only so many were made for sale, I think 1000 worldwide, I could be wrong but I know there weren't many. From what I heard the car also stickered around high 40's I think. My dad has a chipped tt and I gotta say I can't wait to start doin mods, like u I would like to do chip, exhaust, and then maybe some other bigger stuff down the road. I notice your from Chicagoland as well, the guys are tryin to get a Chicagoland rally together soon maybe near Schaumburg or Desplaines. Check out the midwest thread and join in we would love to c your car! Congrats on your TT buy.
