17748 code - cam/crank sensor incorrect correlation
Built AMU engine, new timing belt.
AEB head.
Engine runs smooth, but 17748 code (cam/crank sensor incorrect correlation) remains and comes back immediately after erase
Checked timing again yesterday:
- With crank pulley at TDC mark, and exhaust cam sprocket mark lined up with valve cover mark, the CAM marks (squares) are OFF!
- Moved crank until CAM marks line up with triangles (on cam holders), then cam sprocket/belt is off by 3.5 teeth
Do I have the wrong cam sprocket?
Or is the cam sprocket installed the wrong way?
There is a timing mark on the other face of the cam sprocket.
The part number stamped (facing outside) is 027 101 111 H.
4 hole cam sensor installed (and swapped/tested) (vs. AEB cam sensor with 1 hole).
Block is built AMU (TT225), head is AEB.
