17hg vac at idle - is that about normal for a 180q?
well i cant see how your not feeling a "pull" through low rpms... once you get above about 4k rpms it will start to slow down pace through the rpm range.. unless you have a chip, if you had a chip youd feel a solid pull through the rpm range... OR - a diode / mbc to up the boost a little... that would be like following cincys shoes his ole "20psi without a chip" (
cincy)
So long story short, im pretty sure your TT is running how it should and you just arent as satisfied as you may be hoping for... my bet is that after a chip or diode/mbc install you would instantly have a smirk on your face like the grinch on christmas eve...

18-22in hg is normal, it depends on sea level. You can give a once over but you seem about normal. When you drop to 15in hg, does your rpms go up? If so that is normal also.
yes every 3-4 seconds it drops to 15 and the rpm's go up. well, im not pulling any codes at all. something just doesnt feel right. though. i guess ill start saving up for a trip to the stealership.i was hoping it would be something as simple as a vacuum leak.
ill look at my coolant sensor after work. my maf is clean - i had it out yesterday and its about 1 month old. my sensor... who knows how old that is.
