Default 42 draft design and K04 upgrade

so neuspeed has a k04 upgrade kit for the 180Q, I am planning on doing this. It includes everything you need. I also want to use the 42 draft design down pipe kit for the 180q. Does anyone know if these work together?

You might want to rethink that idea. I have a ko4 and the 42dd down pipe. It's not much of an upgrade. Your gonna be wasting your money. And your not going to be satisfied with the results. If you don't mind me asking, how much are they gonna charge you for the ko4? If you want a bigger turbo, start looking for a reasonably priced big turbo set up. The ko4 is Just too small to push any power. Mine is chipped and running a boost controller. It still doesn't have the power I would like. You can always go on vortex, and buy some nice rods. Maybe even a used big turbo. I think cincy has a big turbo that he's selling.

my 35r is just a bit big compared to a ko4-001

The ko4 upgrade is smaller than the ko4-20 in the 225. Its basically the same size as the stock turbo. Not worth the upgrade for $1k and 10hp

why would anyone do this? Go through the work and cost of replacing a turbo for no gains?

I have the 180Q. I want to get more power without having to tear the motor appart. I can get the kit from Nuespeed for $1800. It includes the turbo, injectors, remapped ECU, and allt he little stuff needed. I figure that with a new down pipe would make more power. They said that turbo upgrade is good for at least 40+ HP.

I would like to get as close to 300hp as possible.

Thumbs down

Not worth it. Your wasting your money. Installing rods isn't that crazy. Before I go big turbo, I'm going to do a set of rods, then save money up for the big turbo set up.

LOL, nope.

40+ hp would be from the stock 180. Love how companies word things to make it seem like it does something. You have been lied to. You can make more power w/o opening up the motor. See the BT sticky at the top of the page for more info.
