Default about to get a chip

Iknow this is redundant but I was wondering which if there is a better chip? I am looking at APR and GIAC. Looks like a lot of people have APR but I was looking at GIAC and it looks like they have worked with german cars more. I guess there is probably not even a difference but i just wanted to get the best one.

Wow that unitronic stage 1+ actually looks pretty solid. Does anybody have one here?

unitronic makes the best chip for the 1.8T in my opinion. GIAC's best work is found in the 2.7T, they can't be beat when it comes to chipping that motor. APR is pretty conservative in all its software and not my first choice on any chip upgrade.

I had Rayveedub put the 1+ on my 2002. Best bang for the buck. I'm very happy with the performance gain.

I use Revo in combo with a MBC plus all the bolt on modsand run about 22psi. Love the power. I have been hearing awesome stuff about Unitronics and they seem to have great support on the forums.

The 2 rules of chipping.

1) chip local
2) choose a chip that lets you upgrade if you plan on doing so.

Keep in mind that the stock turbo tunes are close to each other and big turbo tunes are far from equal.

Unitronics 1+ for me too, it's pretty quick! No reliability problems yet (knock on wood) and Rayveedub, my salesman/installer,is a cool guy.

Followed cincyTT's advice and went ahead and chipped local, racewerks virginia beach, got the APR 93 Octane chip, and get this, they are giving you a free second program right now, so I kept stock aswell!

Wasn't really able to floor it as the weather is crap right now, but definately noticed a better response time on the throttle!
