Default Advanced Timing

So I read somewhere that you can slightly advance the timing of the TT if you have a full exhaust, a chip, an intake, and a FMIC to gain a little more pep. Is this true? I have all of those except a FMIC, and that is on my list of "to install".

I can make any changes to the engine I want using APR's V-tune application. I had to get the program unlocked so it could accept changes from my laptop. Its very cool stuff. I am now pushing around 18lbs of boost... I want to go up more but dont have a gauge so Ill wait.

Thanks for the help.

The 2 largest factors involved when advancing timing is octane and intake air temp.

It all depends on how far the fmic can cool. If it is a good core, it should keep most if not all the timing from being pulled and you should be able to add in a little timing because of it. You will have to run logs to get this info
