Hi all,

Just taken delivery of an '08 S5 and have a query regarding the advanced key function...

At the moment, the key lives nicely in my pocket when I'm using the car. But the thought has just occurred to me: does the key need to be charged in the ignition occasionally?

I ask this because I had a BMW 5-series (sorry) for a couple of months a back in '09 with the same function, but it was recommended that the key was used in the ignition sometimes to charge it.

Also, what is meant when people refer to B6/B7/B8, etc?
