Talking Advice!! Please help

So i've been trying for a while to get back into an audi. Have been looking for a while for a b5 s4 or 225 tt. Now one has come available in my area asking 11k for an 01 225 tt with 75k pretty much in mint condition (minus a few rock chips on the front bumper). If I can get him down to 10k would this be a good deal? Paint is flawless, 1 owner car since 02 (42 y/o man). Very good looking car..

I'm very anxious to get back into an audi, but I don't want to jump the gun if this isn't as good of a deal that I think it is.

Any thoughts, comments or suggestions would help a ton!

Thanks

I bought my 2001 225 last june for $9k. Two previous owners, stock, 67k miles and I've put almost $4k into its service and maintenance over the past year. And that not uncommon.

$10K would be good, not great, if he's had the appropriate service and maintenance done. If not, $10 is overpriced.

Timing belt/water pump/tensioner/etc should have been changed by now. 600 at indy shop, 1000+ at audi
Suspension parts will need to be changed...they're 8-9yrs old. 1000+
TTs all have faulty instrument clusters (600-1000)
Need tires?
Need rotors and pads?
Coilpacks? Are they covered by current audi recall

How's the basic maintenance record??
oil and filter (synthetic every year)
haldex oil/filter (every 20k miles)
brake fluid (every 2 years)
Clean carfax?

Guess what I'm saying is regardless if you buy this one or another one, expect to invest $3-4K in the first year of ownership. TTs are great cars but not cheap. They're not hon/toy/mistu/nisn.

You don't own a TT, you support it.

good luck.

Well yeah I used to have a b5 a4. But those are good things that I can ask when I go on monday to talk to the dealer.

Thanks for the advice!
