Default Air mass sensor problem

Hello my air mass sensor was bad so I decided to buy new. So I changed it but at firs I even couldnt start the engine without steping on gas pedal. Than when I m driving my RPM arrow is trembling all the time and the engine sometimes also turned off.
1) Is this maf also bad?
2) Maybe it simply doesnt fit my car?
3) Or maybe I have to make car diagnosis at the dealer to make this maf work?
Please tell me what is the normal car reaction when You have changed your maf and start the engine at the first time with new maf???? PLEASE HELP

Did you buy the correct MAF? Where did you purchase it? Unplug the MAF and see if the car works okay.

Changing the MAF will usually not cause this problem, if it is the correct one. You may see a slight change as the ECU adapts to the new MAF over 80 or so miles.

Hello, When I unplug this new air mass sensor everything is okay - I have stock power not chipped power as it was before. If ill change correct maf than it means that car must react immediately without any disturbance and than some miles for complete addaption of my ecu???????

you need to check the MAF, this data cover all the MAFs

Hello again! Today I bought new air mass sensor at my audi dealer and mounted it. Now i feel my car is better at low rpms but still the same at the high RPMS! Maybe my ecu and engine must addapt these changes for a while for about 50-60 miles because when I cleaned my old maf before it was the same - my car was a rocket again suddenly! Please advice me something ?????

Correct, the adaptation takes around 70 miles. Give it a little time.

each time you start the engine its called a drive cycle and the ECU has to adapt but it doesnt take that long to find a fault if its consistent, the car needs to be hooked up to a systems analyzer or data logger to determine the problem, VAG with a laptop would be nice
