so i need my alternator replaced but the dealership says there are three different ones for the TT i was wondering if any of you guys would know which one it is. I have an 02 225 thanks for the help

 

I have no idea, check out your local auto-zone or auto parts store they may be able to help you out.

 

why doesn't the dealership know?

 

The dealer is correct, ETKA lists 4 alternators

028 903 028 E 120Amp Bosch
028 903 028 D 90 Amp Bosch
028 903 023 S 120 Amp Valeo
028 903 029 G 120 Amp Hitachi

You'll probably have to go into the dealer in order to figure out which one you have.

 

ugh this sucks cause 2 of them from the dealer cost 425 and the others cost 525 -_- thanks for the help though

 

wow - 425 - 525? how many miles do you have on your car? just curious.

 

bout 55k miles .......ive had so many problems with my tt. i think i just got a bad one out of the bunch

 

how did you know if yours was going out in the TT? i recently had mine go out in my 2004 Ford Ranger w/ 84k on it.

 

Funny mine just went out with 52K on it, 600 bucks wow glad the extended warrenty covered it!
